About Me

Alright! Born local to a seaside town I have always loved the ocean. There’s something special about staring at the horizon and being consumed by the vast volume of nothingness.

I grew up in an amazing family and when I reached eighteen I followed my older brothers into the Royal Navy. Unfortunately not seeing as much of the world as I would have liked, especially being land based, I left in 2013.

Since then I have travelled to South East Asia, where some of the highlights were riding a motor bike down Vietnam, seeing the local drunk eat a crab off of a friends ugly bald head and creating some life long friendships. I have lived in Sydney, Australia for 12 months and I strongly believe I have a lot of unfinished business there. Mainly creating and selling the delicious combination of mayonnaise and chilli sauce that I put together from Coles supermarkets!

With friends and family I followed England to a very disappointing World Cup in Brazil in 2014, heading off afterwards to explore sites such as Christ the Redeemer, Machu Picchu and Iguaza Falls. My most recent exploration would have been to see the amazing Maya temples at Chichen Itza. I would love to complete all seven man made wonders of the world.

Currently working as an Offshore Wind Turbine Technician I get a daily fix of the ocean, but this hasn’t been enough to scratch the itch of travelling. A few pieces of the puzzle have come together nicely of recent, and I have been able to get a prolonged period of time away.

I have been very lucky in life to have had these opportunities and for a long time I have wanted to share them and enter the world of blog writing, hopefully I will learn a few things and grasp the power of social networking for the good.

Let’s see how the next 15 weeks go and feel free to interact as much as possible. That includes pointing out the bad bits if you so wish! I can always delete them…
